How the Subscription Model Works

Property Management Software is sold as a monthly or annual subscription to property owners. Tenants do not pay the software company — they pay rent to the owner. The owner pays to use the platform that helps them manage everything.

Simple analogy

Like paying for internet or accounting software — the PG owner subscribes to run their business digitally. Bigger portfolio = higher tier plan with more properties, beds, and staff seats.

Starter — Single property operators

Ms. Ananya Reddy — owns one 24-bed Girls PG in Hyderabad. She is the owner and hires one warden. She needs tenant registration, rent tracking, and basic reports. Starter tier is designed for this profile.

Growth — Multi-property owners

Example customer (planned tier)

Mr. Rajesh Sharma — Sunrise Boys PG, Green Valley Girls PG, Urban Co-living in Bengaluru (~120 beds). He has accountant Priya, warden Suresh, and 4 operational staff. Growth tier covers multi-property dashboard, payroll, and team permissions.

Enterprise — Chains and investors

StayEasy Co-living Pvt Ltd — 15 properties across Bengaluru, Pune, and Chennai. Central HR and finance team. Enterprise tier planned for unlimited scale, onboarding support, and board-level reporting.

Owner Subscription Journey (When Launch Opens)

  1. Owner registers with mobile OTP and completes business profile.
  2. Views available plans (Starter / Growth / Enterprise) with published pricing.
  3. Selects plan matching property count and bed capacity.
  4. Pays via UPI, card, or bank transfer — subscription activated.
  5. Creates first property and begins adding rooms and beds.
  6. When business grows beyond plan limits, system prompts upgrade.
  7. Renewal reminders before expiry — data always preserved.

What Subscription Limits Control

Tenants and day-to-day rent transactions are not limited by subscription — limits protect platform cost while keeping the product accessible to small PG owners.

Super Admin Role

Platform operators configure plan catalog, activate subscriptions after payment verification, and support owners during onboarding. This is separate from the PG owner's day-to-day property work.
