Dual-meter electricity billing (grid + inverter) common in Indian PGs — fair per-tenant utility charges from room readings.
Indian PG Reality: Two Meters
Many Bengaluru PGs have BESCOM grid plus inverter during cuts. Tenants expect transparent split. Property Management Software records both readings per room and allocates cost by sharing ratio or per bed.
Reading Workflow
Warden Suresh walks Floor 2 on the 28th: Room 204 grid 45210→45380 kWh, inverter 1200→1245 units. System calculates ₹420 per bed for June utilities at Sunrise Boys PG.

Tariff Settings

Water tanker or canister costs logged as property expense or allocated by formula. Gas for mess tracked separately from tenant electricity.
