Employees vs Payroll Staff

Employees log into Property Management Software with mobile/email and permissions. Payroll staff may only appear in salary module (e.g. part-time cook). Both matter for operations and cost tracking.

Permission Philosophy

Permissions are grouped by module: Properties, Tenants, Finance, Expenses, Meters, Complaints, Payroll, Reports, Settings. Owner toggles fine-grained actions (view, create, edit, delete).

Warden Suresh

Permissions: view tenants, assign beds, meter readings, update complaints. Cannot see owner subscription, delete properties, or export bank reports. Suresh's daily work is faster; risk of fraud is lower.

  2. Employee accepts and sets up OTP login.
  3. Owner assigns permission template or custom set.
  4. Employee works within scope; upgrade needs owner approval.
  5. On exit, owner revokes access same day.
Enterprise: Unlimited employees for large operators; Starter limited to 2 to match solo-owner reality.
